The Themis USP IIi-1v Series combines the new UltraSPARC IIi, Sun Microelectronics’ highly integrated 64-bit SPARC V.9 superscalar processor, with a high-speed, single slot VME64 architecture. Two and three slot configurations facilitate I/O expansion. The USPIIi-1V is ideal for telecommunications and ruggedized COTS applications.

This low-cost, high-performance 6U platform combines 440 MHz UltraSPARC IIi RISC processing with SunSoft Solaris compatibility, giving the user access to thousands of Solaris 2.x off-the-shelf software solutions. Memory is expandable using memory mezzanine cards, from 64 Mbytes to 1 Gbyte. L2 cache is 1024K.

Both the value and performance of USPIIi-1V are complemented by a complete set of workstation I/O features. The USPIIi-1V includes dual Ultra Wide SCSI ports, one 10/100Base-T Ethernet or MII port, two RS-232 serial ports all on a single slot 6U platform.
